American Gods is a Hugo and Nebula Award-winning novel by Neil Gaiman. The novel is a blend of Americana, fantasy, and various strands of ancient and modern mythology, all centering on a mysterious and taciturn protagonist, Shadow.  AGWiki I haven’t read this yet but here’s the download.  American Gods.  And here’s a blow by blow analysis.  ForgottenGod And here’s the 1st of 12 online readings.  AmericanGods This book is to gothic what “whole lotta love” is to acid rock”
This guy’s got an interesting take on it.  “The mainstream concept of considering religious diversity and its negative effect on mankind as a social enigma, and attempting to find ways of making it work cohesively, has been, and is a total failure. But, the logical approach of attempting to discover the truth behind the phenomenon of multiple gods, and examining alternative explanations for it is ignored. A practical approach is to consider the alternatives and determine the logic of each of the possible reasons for this diversity.” WorldsGods As does the theosophical society.  Theosophy holds that all religions are attempts by the “Spiritual Hierarchy” to help humanity in evolving to greater perfection, and that each religion therefore has a portion of the truth   Theosophy Research ChrystalLinks is an excellent website for exploration in this area.  Have we entered the dawn of the age of aquarius ?  5thDimension This is getting spooky. Shadow appears to be the one I refer to as stranger, and Helga refers to as spectre in atenonol dreams.  This is a triple hit, enough to elevate Schrödinger’s “one mind” from “could be” to “best answer to date” .  Anybody have any thoughts on that?  Weird shit man.  GoogleBooks

“More than a tourist in America, but not a native, Neil Gaiman offers an outside-in and inside-out perspective on the soul and spirituality of the country–our obsessions with money and power, our jumbled religious heritage and its societal outcomes, and the millennial decisions we face about what’s real and what’s not.” –Therese Littleton “Religions are, by definition, metaphors, after all: God is a dream, a hope, a woman, an ironist, a father, a city, a house of many rooms, a watchmaker who left his prize chronometer in the desert, someone who loves you-even, perhaps, against all evidence, a celestial being whose only interest is to make sure your football team, army, business, or marriage thrives, prospers and triumphs over all opposition.  Religions are places to stand and look and act, vantage points from which to view the world.” – American Gods p508

Is this in fact the dawning of the age of aquarius? Monkey see, monkey do? There may well be a “critical mass” required to shift a new behavior from being a fragile personal idiosyncrasy to being a well-established alternative, but creating a new alternative does not automatically displace older alternatives. It just provides more choices. It is possible that the washing alternative established by the monkeys on Koshima Island did create a morphogenetic field that made it easier for monkeys on other islands to “discover” the same technique, but the actual research neither supports nor denies that idea. It remains for other cultural experiments and experiences to illuminate this question.

The 100th monkey phenomenon is supposed to kick in when 1/3 of the population achieves awareness.  There definitely is something to this. The same phenomenon was observed in the Mogabi zoo, where chimps were observed washing cats prior to stuffing them down the garbage disposal, saving on plumbing bills. (Note picture above) The practice has since spread to all zoos. From what I have seen so far,  from the end of the ice age, our connectedness has been systematically destroyed leaving us as mindless robots, swarming in this ant warren of a society we live in.

“It is not in the nature of man–nor of any living entity–to start out by giving up, by spitting in one’s own face and damning existence; that requires a process of corruption whose rapidity differs from man to man. Some give up at the first touch of pressure; some sell out; some run down by imperceptible degrees and lose their fire, never knowing when or how they lost it. Then all of these vanish in the vast swamp of their elders who tell them persistently that maturity consists of abandoning one’s mind; security, of abandoning one’s values; practicality, of losing self-esteem. Yet a few hold on and move on, knowing that that fire is not to be betrayed, learning how to give it shape, purpose and reality. But whatever their future, at the dawn of their lives, men seek a noble vision of man’s nature and of life’s potential. …” – Ayn Rand

“And then the man who bears the pitcher will walk across an arc of heaven. The sign and signet of the Son of man stands forth in the eastern sky. The wise will then lift up their heads and know that the redemption of the earth is near” – Bible “What lies ahead for Humanity? With all the problems we have, it’s hard to believe our future is bright. Inflation and recession, environmental deterioration, diminishing resources, unrest and oppression in developing countries, and apathy, loneliness and lack of direction in developed ones all combine to severely cloud the horizon…It may seem fantastic, but the signs in the heavens point to an extraordinary renewal in the years just ahead. If we recall some recent trends, this prospect doesn’t seem so outlandish. It wasn’t too long ago that we heard about the dawning of the Age of Aquarius, and about the revival of spirit among the new generation. We can still hear the echoes of John Kennedy’s call to action and see the vision of Martin Luther King’s dream. Before he and his dream were shot down in 1968, he said we as a people “would get to the promised land.” The promise seems empty now, yet the planetary cycles support his prophecy. For what we discover when we examine these cycles is compelling evidence that a renaissance and a golden age is right around the corner.”

But with the we inside of me, I can see man in all his glory and depravity.  The gift has a dark side. Hope and foreboding coexist. Kumbaya Or maybe the age of aquarius will be a self fulfilling prophecy.  Or….. maybe I’m full of shit, I am crazy, don’t you know?   The problem, in my minds, is that neither of these views can be elevated to “best answer to date”.  Dunno. Troubling.

I left this for the webmaster at forgotten gods.
You would be doing a disservice to mankind if you were to reveal the name of the forgotten god. It is the quest, not the arriving that is important. I speak to that obliquely here>  Epiphany Express
it is the grail in percival
I call it the key to ANN.
Learning makes it profound, teaching makes it trite.
The Forgotten God, like the vedic scripts, and the bible, and folklore, myths, legends are not to be taken literally. After all, what’s a meta phor?
The forgotten god is unique to each individual and profound, else it is dogma and trite. that is the whole point.
neil cautioned you on this here> Please don’t reveal the identity of the god/folkloric entity that people always forget,
so let’s keep it our little secret.

“The Gaia hypothesis is an ecological hypothesis proposing that the biosphere and the physical components of the Earth (atmosphere, cryosphere, hydrosphere and lithosphere) are closely integrated to form a complex interacting system that maintains the climatic and biogeochemical conditions on Earth in a preferred homeostasis.”– Wikipedia This seems to be very similar to the Aboriginal world view. Ie man is an integral part of the world. Gaia’s Laughter

“Mother Nature can provide man’s needs, but not all man’s wants” – el Loco Gringo

The first council of Nicea AD 325, in an effort to expunge all feminity from christianity replaced father, son and shakinah with father, son and holy ghost. Shakinah was the feminine side of god. Analysis testing of “the last supper” by da Vinci reveals that a female figure was painted over, speculation was that it was Mary Magdelen. Just to Jesus’s right (that’s the guy in the red dress. Below) Also expunged was Book of Mary I and II. The wife’s vow, “to love, honor, and cherish” was replaced with, “to love, honor and obey.” The translation involved in the original ceremony was inaccurate. Thus the western world was left with all power and no finesse.

And then there is Azna. Mother God is the emotion. She can move, nurture, intervene and interfere. The relationship between Azna and earth is especially close. She is the harmonizer, the active helper and keeper of life. Her dominion is all living things on earth, from which the cherished image of Mother Nature was inspired. She’s been called the Lady of Lotus by Buddhists, as well as Ashara, Theodora, Sophie and Isis in faiths and cultures throughout the world for centuries upon centuries. Without the all-knowing, all-perfect intellect of Father God (om), we would be pure emotion. Without Azna, we would be pure intellect.

“A deep reverence for Mother Earth lies at the heart of the beliefs and traditions of the native nations of North America. Whether for inhabitants of lush, fertile lands, arid desert, ocean shores, or the harsh subartic, nature is the peoples’ bountiful provider, and earth the sustainer of life. As seen in the lifeways of ancient hunter-gatherers, trappers, and fishers through centuries of adaptation to new circumstances, homelands, and techniques, a profound respect for earth’s fellow-creatures – both philosophical and practical – permeates Native American society.” – Searching Eagle

I have heard the Aboriginal worldview described as Circular. Circular reasoning is an attempt to support a statement by simply repeating the statement in different or stronger terms. In this fallacy, the reason given is nothing more than a restatement of the conclusion that poses as the reason for the conclusion.I don’t see it that way, I see it as “wheels within wheels” and not even “what goes around comes around” but “what goes around comes around goes around etc”. For instance the Mayan 260 day calendar would seem to make no sense unless one considers that the gestation period is 260 days. Thus if a woman conceived on Tzolkin 10 she could expect the birth on Tzolkin 10, As this was synchronized with the Haab (365 day calendar) no calculation was needed

In keeping with Mr. Ted’s suggestion of using “whorls within whorls” rather than “wheels within wheels” I went looking again for cymatics. Even closer to reality however is “waves within waves”

These are some really cool videos. Highly idealized though. It is amazing what emotions can be evoked with such primitave instuments as the flute, the drum and the Moog synthesizer.

Buddha Mind

Posted in Godesses with tags , , , , , , , , , , , , , on September 14, 2010 by ellocogringo

InSingapore I was told I had the “Buddha mind”. Asked around, came up with a definition of “naive wisdom”. Well, OK, I guess. Coupla days ago a Hindu told me that same thing, manager of a convenience store, what else. He’s a pretty fart smeller, at least in my opinion, so I decided to check it out further. Turns out that “buddha mind” AKA “big mind” is what I call normal. I’d just be redundant to go on about it, so I’ll just refer a couple of links if you’re curious. I just noticed that buddha in the top graphic’s got boobs. A female buddha? Just a minute, let me check it out. Thanks for waiting, I’ll be dipped in buzzard puke, there really is a female buddha, Kwan Yin. Link below. I’ll look at it as soon as I post this.

Dark Madonna

For the ordinary people of the Cathar lands, and especially for the women, the Virgin Mary was in fact worshipped and she was (and is) the Dark Madonnas of southern France and northern Spain and she summoned up all the ancient pagan fertility beliefs of the earth they lived upon. This Virgin Mary was the people’s goddess and the irony of the Cathar massacres is that this Dark Mary survived.

Diva – Isn’t this the paradox of any good idea? The Virgin Mary became an institution of power and control, a diva. By the 16th century her cult was out of control, although this may have helped her pull off the destruction of the Turkish navy at Lepanto in 1571.

DancingInTheFlames – An often misunderstood Feminine force is raised to her place of honor This is a profound exploration of the often misunderstood Dark Goddess and her ability to transform all of us. Marion Woodman leads us all in a deeper understanding of the often unseen & unappreciated aspects of the Feminine, so needed for a soulful life. The dedication of this book to Sophia says it all “Integrity in love is the only true guide to the wisdom that leads to freedom”. Thank you Marion and Elinor for being the wise women who lead us all to freedom by giving our souls the rich sustenance of the numinous Feminine goddesses.

Is this then armagedan II? Another battle in the never ending yin/yang war. The battle between the forces of good, the divine feminine, and the forces of evil the fallen angels of the feminazis?

Consider what religion has done to islam and christianity. Consider what politics has done to democracy. Consider what law has done to justice. Consider “burka Rage” an opening skirmish perhaps? Did the devine feminine attack the suppressed fallen angel? Consider. This is a war that will have no winners. Isn’t it odd how we keep dancing to the same tune, even after the band has stopped playing? ShoppingForBurkas

“I am blessed/cursed with the gift/burden of the we inside of me“. – el Loco Gringo

Is this the angel of death that keeps being alluded to? Is this what brought on the dark ages? Is this the precipice? Is this the abyss? Could be, but there are a lot of candidates. Instead of the road not taken, we keep to the long and winding road. “The moving finger writes, and having writ, moves on” – Omar Khayyam

“GOD transcends religion, Religion doesn’t transcend GOD” – eLG

“Religion is shortcut thinking about god” – el Loco Gringo

“The unconsciousness of man is the consciousness of God” -Thoreau

” A scientist challenges God to a creation-of-life competition and then, like God, picks up some dirt to start his work. “Oh no,” says God. “Go get your own dirt.”

Does god exist? Dunno. Kinda depends on how you define god. If she does, I’m pretty sure she’s not Jewish, Catholic or Presbyterian. Or Allah or Buddha or any of the other hypostatized beliefs which have been used to control the masses. Personally. I don’t think she’s that big of an asshole. She is our Self Worth, Pride is what religion calls self worth, one of the seven deadly sins. However, if there is a god, I understand she is not bound by my beliefs. I consider god and religion to be mutually exclusive concepts. I find the people who discount god just as idiotic as those who believe in religion. If the brain fart could be overcome, it may be possible to determine reality. Wouldn’t that be cool? I kinda favor Gaia, although my opinion carries about as much weight as a fart in a hurricane.

So god is inside our skulls. GOD is outside. Or vectors are inside, the universe is outside. Or Wonder is inside, wander is outside. Or science is inside, the cosmos is outside. These are only words. There is something “out there” that we don’t understand. You can call it GOD if you will and our perception of GOD as god.

Religion is a totally different thing. It is an ideology. It is dogma. It is an hipostatized belief imprinted on our minds by monotheistic churches so as to control the masses. Judaism, christianity, science, atheism and islam fall into this category. WHAT? atheism and science are religions? But of course. They are hipostatized belief systems. A central tenet of both is non-belief. Their minds have been imprinted in non-belief in belief. They hold the delusional belief that they understand what is “out there”, or more precisely, what is “not out there”. In fact, there may be a cosmic intelligence “out there” which we are part of and which some people may call GOD. Or…….maybe not! Dunno. Do not confuse cause and effect. Religion and god are mutually exclusive concepts. God is possible, religion is bullshit.

On the other hand Bhuddism, Tao, yoga, jainism, animism, kaballah etc. are totally different things. They are not religions, per se, but paths to enlightenment. They are frameworks used to understand what is “out there”. Like a neuron trellis they focus our thoughts. Like a neuron trellis they provide a path. “It helps to have a god to meditate on, it doesn’t matter which one” – Patel Consider the shaman, once you get past the mysticism, it makes perfect sense, certainly more than psychology (also an ideology).

So a scientist and an atheist are just different types of idiot. It must be so simple to be an idiot, just sprinkle pixie dust on a concept, call it bullshit, and you don’t have to think. Just a slam dunk. A thought stopping mechanism.

When religion replaced god we lost that direct experience. Thomas Aquinas pointed this out when he observed “there is no virtue in performing a good deed if there is no choice”

So, where is god? She is within all of us. She has been suppressed by religion. She has been made taboo by the belief systems which were developed by religion as a method to control the masses. This has left the individual with an insatiable need. We have lost our balance.

This is the “hole in our soul”, the anomie of man.

We are that god we seek

Lady of the Lotus

Hindus call our earth Brahma, or God, for they rightly see

“no difference between our earth and the divine.”

The Supreme Cosmic Spirit in Hindu Vedanta philosophy is known as Brahman. One of these Hindu godesses is Kali Maa. She’s kind of a kick ass godess. I like her.

From this perspective the Big Hoochie Koochie IS god and each of us is, as an individual, a Little Hoochie Koochie.

Truth, Belief, Myth

Posted in About Me with tags , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , on August 17, 2010 by ellocogringo

When I started this post, I thought of Truth. Anybody seen the Crucible? The Salem Witch Trials? They’re still going on you know? 3500 cases nationwide. One was just finished about two months ago. The witch was acquited. eLG struck again and got revenge. The real story of Salem is interesting also. Much of it is untold. The proctors had tied the “witches” up behind a wagon and were dragging them around the township. The men in Salisbury challanged the proctors rescued the women, tied the proctors up behind the wagon and stampeded the horses. At this point the Governor sent a representative to find out WTF. The husbands of the “witches” went to Salisbury to get their wives and were told “Piss off, gentle persons, when thee can defend thy wives thee may retreive them, till then thee may jerk off, jerk offs. Come back and we’ll get meideval on your sorry arses” (something like that) Amish Paradise

Anyhow, back to the main point. What exactly is truth? Turns out it is different for each person. Each individual is unique, with his own triumphs and trageties. Dogma is TRUTH. But there are many truths. So what is my truth?

The relationship between belief and knowledge is that a belief is knowledge if the belief is true and if the believer has a justification (reasonable and necessarily plausible assertions/evidence/guidance) for believing it is true. A myth, on the other hand is an unprovable or implausible belief. Thus a belief may be either a truth or a myth. For instance, England is to me a belief and a truth (been there, done that, bought the T-shirt) As is Germany, Chad, France, Singapore etc. On the other hand Gibralter, Columbia, Tasmania are beliefs (never been there) there is a remote possibility they are myths. Atlantis, Wu, Eldorado, Valhalla, are non-beliefs with a remote possibility that they are not myths. With this in mind, my belief system follows;
True – ANN, unANN,
Belief – Lattice, Taboo, Centering
Myth – psychology, sociology, capitalism, politics
The mind is not a mental abstract in isolation. It is a cork floating on a turbulent sea, buffeted by waves, undertows, high winds, doldrums, whirlpools. The mind’s job is to cope with this troubled sea in a timely manner. Man is just DNA’s way of making more man DNA. This “purpose” is evident in all life. IE the purpose of a chicken’s DNA is to make more chicken DNA. By extension the “purpose” of life is to make more life.

There are actually four logic paths to consider. (Our bipolar (Aristotelian) view of the world limits us to two). They are left (top down), right (bottom up) neither or both. The occidental world is predominately left, the oriental right, the Mideast neither. And there are separately derived logic trees (springing from a separate seed) fractal (African) and circular (meso-American) Which I really can’t speak to. I’m sure there are others. In other words, all we are talking about here is one family of logic trees. The left/right, male/female, yin/yang, scientific method/yoga, top down/bottom up family. I can’t speak to the others.

“The time has come,
Dreamweaver said,
To speak of many things,
Of whereness and whenness,
And gravity wells,
Of white holes, lifts and strings”

Are you aware that our world view is mirrored in the orient? IE they have oriental idiots who are all right and no left? They use yoga not to gain nirvana but to gain direction? (top down) They have no problem with whereness and whenness but the scientific method eludes them. The inscrutable Chinese think the occidental is inscrutable. What is so complicated? With some synergy it becomes simple. Why are people dumb? The mind is incredible, and it has been mutilated. Evolution (or god or destiny, it doesn’t matter) has given a gift to man and he threw away the gift and is playing with the pretty paper and ribbons. I’m getting frustrated again (a silent scream). I’ll do a paper on logic. May be able to get a page out of it if I pad it with graphics.

Whoa Pardner!
El Loco Gringo is going to step in here. The basic idea here is going with the flow and pissing into the wind. The point of all this yin/yang stuff, is not a or b but synergy between the two (balance power with finesse). One should always maintain the option of pissing with the wind. There’s yoga for you in three sentences.

Picture yourself on a featureless ocean, in a sailboat with auxiliary motor. As long as the weather’s clear the sails are fine, you’re just drifting but you’ve got nowhere to go. Now the weather kicks up. Face the front of the boat and piss. If it hits you in the face, turn the rudder, crank up that auxiliary and haul ass. As the erudite philosopher said in Alice “If you don’t know where you’re going, it doesn’t matter much which you go” – Cheshire Cat. But now you’ve a direction to go, somewhere else.

The Morphing

So let’s look through this particular tunnel. The view of the tunnel the mama grizzly/soccer mom is looking through is perceived as society/individuals. These are the endpoints set by the tunnel. This particular tunnel limits them to an extremely squish view of the Great Mysterious. (different tunnel) and has a less squishy relationship to the view through the genetics tunnel, or the evolution tunnel.

So let the games begin. society/individual is inside the skull. SOCIETY/INDIVIDUAL is the projection of society/individual onto what we perceive. The duality if you will. If the universe is finite SOCIETY/INDIVIDUAL would be appropriate, which may or may not be true since the two cognitive minds can fully account for this duality. Else GREAT MYSTERIOUS would seem more appropriate. I suspect the latter.

So what’s happening here? Patterns are forming and correlated in the right mind, and interpreted by the left mind as disharmonious. The reticulator, summing the aggregate and accumulate dis-harmonies adds urgency (bias) The ANN (overseer) notes the two outputs are increasingly not consistent and is impelled to action. For sake of discussion we’ll call the right mind “sarah”, the left mind “palin”, the ANN “Sarah Palin”

So Sarah Palin morphs from a pit bull (individual) to a mama grizzly (resonant with other mama grizzlies) to effect change, realizing (squishy) that the aggregate and accumulate impact of mama grizzlies can “calm” the dis-harmonies. A built in feedback loop if you will, doing whatever minimizes the dis-harmonies. This is only for a mind uncrippled by ideology. The ABF has disabled this built in moderating function.

I’m not talking about evolution, or genetics or the cosmos. I am talking about mama grizzlies. That is the tunnel I was looking through.

So it would seem consciousness is an illusion

We only think we’re thinking.

The Big Chill

The big chill

“The world in terms of spatial relational dynamics is never-ending so why rush? if you happen to step in there one day and really chill out you may never come back and reclaim your historical story-line. ” – Mr Ted

Hmm!  Yes, this was my fear, someday to step into this place and not come back.  Society is psychotic, maximized for the greed of the hyper-males.  Society is a trainwreck of miasma’s of hipostatized belief systems.

In Greek mythology, a miasma is a contagious power that has an independent life of its own. Until purged by the sacrificial death of the wrongdoer, society would be chronically infected by catastrophe.
An example is Atreus who invited his brother Thyestes to a delicious stew containing the bodies of his own sons. A miasma contaminated the entire family of Atreus, where one violent crime led to another, providing fodder for many of the Greek heroic tales.
– wikipedia

With responsibility should come authority.  But it doesn’t. The individual has the responsibility, society has the authority.  Can’t anyone see how insane this is?  Society is maximized for the profit of the few and the anomie must be borne be the many.  No wonder so many people go postal.  The individual must bear the burden of the sins of society.  And society is a pressure cooker that keeps applying more pressure as society spins more out of control.  A positive feedback loop.

This type of social structure worked in the paleolithic.  We no longer live in the paleolithic, but we act as if we do.  People think of  “progress” as a gradual upward trend.  But it’s not.  It’s a sawtooth as societies gradually rise, then collapse as they spin out of control.  Always have, is now, and I fear always will.  This is the power ego mode of thinking we inherited.   In the paleolithic if the alpha male got to be too much of an asshole, no problemo, just kill him and let someone else take over, someone to whom this alphacide is in a time framework he can understand.  Despite the common belief, in primates it is usually the females who gang up on the alpha male.  But the hyper-males discovered civilization, a social structure that short-circuited the individuals ability to think for himself.

So it’s nice to chill out to relieve the pressure.

Just remember to come back

Some people have a really strange view of the world. A disjunct from reality. A logic fail. For instance, people used to think the earth was flat, now they know it is round but they understand it to be square. Physicists know that the universe is of a wave nature, but still use calculus to try to figure it out, not understanding that calculus only works on Euclidian space. Society knows that we are part of this world, but continue to destroy it, not understanding that in destroying the world we are destroying ourselves. People know that we are part of the universe, but do not understand that the universe is within each of us. People know there is a god, yet rely on religion, not understanding that a little bit of god is within each of us. People know that government is corrupt, but do not understand that voting republican or democrat doesn’t make any difference. People know that money is fiat, but do not understand that it has no intrinsic value.

Knowledge and wisdom are on opposite sides of the coin of cognizance. The yang of the Tiger, balancing the yin of the Dragon. The dance of life. Without this dance there can be no feng shui. Chi fail.

Chi The life force power of the universe. There are jillions  of cults, procedures, techniques. myths, legends etc. alluding to tapping into the power of the universe. Even the bible mentions it.It is telling that I consider this somewhat mundane.  I picked Reiki only because it has a cool graphic.  Here’s some links if you’re interested ReikiPage Laying on of hands ReikiFAQ

Pissing with the wind rather than into it.  If the plane’s flying backwards, reverse the pitch of the prop.  Mr Sid’s going with the flow.  Pulling up the anchor on Mr. Ted’s much beloved sailboat.  I view it as not so much increasing power, but reducing drag,  Removing impediments,  Getting the mind back to the state it was created/evolved/unfolded in.  Using both sides of the brain.  Or Mr M’s getting in the zone. Try to see the big picture.

Get down to the real nitty gritty.  You can’t take the dancer out of the dance.  The dancer and the dance are interactive, but there is more happening here.  More than choreography.  More than music. More than lighting.  If you take this apart, the resulting parts are trite.  Trivial. Meaningless.  In the WHOLE is more than all that.  It is what we used to call a happening.  It is a synergy of all the parts, from the individual molecules of the dancers to the universe which supplies the parts when stars explode. We are star people.  Understand the magnificence of what is going on.  The whole is greater than the sum of the parts.  Embrace the wonder of it all.  Have a happening

Removing Lattices and  Taboos.  Seeing the world in its interactive whole.  In short being normal.  Just recognizing that there are other ripples out there.  And acting accordingly.  The water’s fine. Jump in.  Unwrap your gift and enjoy.

The one I can relate most easily to, however in Mr Ted’s Hurricane.  Get the hell out of the way.  The same thing happened in 1968 with hurricane Bessie, and I got out of the way.  Went to Florida in fact.  I really don’t like hurricanes.

As anyone following me knows, I am aware of two cognitive minds, and no one else is. So either I’m crazy or every one else is. If you feel I’m crazy you can take comfort in the knowledge you are running with the squirrls. I am fascinated by thinking, or specifically thinking about thinking and the effects of this dual mind we have on the thought process. Certain concepts resonate with me, the feminine god for one. This is to be a never ending post, as I continue to explore, feeding my hungry neurons. I will put these in a new catagory called Forgotten.

Road Not Taken

The first of these resonances is “The Road Not Taken”, a science fiction story in the mid 80’s. It opens with the Roxilian commander of a spaceship bound on intergalatic conquest. He sights out the quartz porthole and adjusts his course with a quadrant. He hopes for a new planet to conquer soon, the stench in the ship is overwhelming. The slopjars are overflowing, the animals have all been eaten, and the plants used to supply the oxygen have all been burned to hold off the cold of interstellar space. They’re running low on musket balls and the black powder is damp and misfires. All of the steeds have since died, but he is certain that their superior technology will allow them to prevail. The entire story is told from the point of view of the Roxilians. These beings are savages, this is a stone age culture with space travel. WTF? to make the story short, they land on the front lawn of the white house and the entire invasion force is blown away by the two dozen secret service agents in half an hour or so. What has happened is that it is humans that have taken the road less traveled. Space travel, time travel, teleportation etc. are relatively simple concepts discovered by most civilizations in a universe teeming with intelligence. Their progress has stopped because they were unable to analyze but thought only in a “right mind” mode.
Fascinating! Road not taken

Sajani Shakya – Child Goddess

The Kumari, or virgin deity, is a Hindu cult practised in Nepal, and represents the reincarnation of Dea Taleju Bhawani, also known in India as Durga. The Kumari are chosen among the Buddhist children of the Newar Shakya caste, resident in Kathmandu for at least three generations; the cast is the same one to which Buddha belonged. Even if chosen among Buddhists they are equally venerated by Hindus. During her annual feast, Kumari Jiatra, she is permitted to go out in public in a covered carriage.

They are born mortal humans, members of the lower castes, but are then elevated to the realms of the living deities; forced to live in isolation from early childhood, without friends and deprived of an education, on their first menstruation or sign of illness they return human once more, have to drastically adapt themselves to the difficulties of everyday life. They are the Kumari, Hinduism’s living deities, who are now beginning to rebel against the “inhuman superstitions” who in Nepal, are forced to live a lonely single life, deprived of affection in the belief that anyone who marries them will die within a few months.

Joy Dance

Back to Healing

This post is a response to Jutta Hi Jutta, I would be very interested in knowing where, precisely, these studies can be found. my neurons are hungry and must be fed. <Recent brain science has discovered how our right-brains communicate with each other.> I would also be interested in your thoughts on the QD Fix The joy dance, “thrive” exercise and attachment dance also seem to share characteristics with the lakota learning circle and the qd fix. most of this seems rather obvious (to me anyway) I’d just use different words, re-establishing connectedness with (whatever) in the case of the example with another individual or, in your case, since you are of a spiritual bent, god. Orientals would call this feng shui, the maximization of qi. An occidental insight, and I call it awareness. but the word is not the concept but only a word. the vedic’s? perhaps have it nailed best, they see “no difference between the universe and the divine” a position it’s real hard to argue with no matter what words one uses. Or………..I could be full of shit. I’m crazy, you’re odd and the world is insane.

Mr Jutta> “I would recommend reading books by Daniel J. Siegel (e.g. The developing mind) and Daniel G. Amen (e.g. Healing the hardware of the soul). I believe that a lot what I learned from Jim Wilder is based on their research.”

Freya & Frigga

Posted in Godesses with tags , , , , , , , , , on June 27, 2010 by ellocogringo

The well traveled el Loco Gringo may be able to disambiguate freya and frigga. Ther is much debate as to whether they are one or two goddesses. They’re just dancing around what is being said. While Hemingwaying my way around the world I spent time in the Hundsruck in germany, (the mosel valley) In this area frigga is referred to as Liebensgottenfreya (germans don’t normally use adjectives but just keep stacking existing words together until they get the meaning they intend)

So if you stop the music frigg means fuck (don’t blame me for your TMI block), lieben means love, gotten means very and freya is the goddess Freya. So what you end up with is Frigga IS Freya when she’s horny. Or, the goddess of lust. And oddly enough, we are invoking her blessings many times a day without realizing it. We invoke a pagan goddess daily.

Here’s what George Carlin had to say on the topic.

Perhaps one of the most interesting words
in the English language today, is the word FUCK. Out of all of the English words which begin with the letter F, FUCK is the only word referred to as the “F” word, it’s the one magical word. FUCK as most words in the english language, is derived from German, the word “frigga”.

In English, FUCK falls into many grammatical categories.

As a transitive verb, for instance.
John FUCK-ed Shirley.
As an intransitive verb, Shirley FUCKS.
It’s meaning’s not always sexual;
it can be used as an adjective, such as
John’s doing all the FUCK-ing work.
As part of an adverb,
Shirley talks too FUCK-ing much.
As an adverb enhancing an adjective,
Shirley is FUCK-ing beautiful.
As a noun, I don’t give a FUCK.
As part of a word abso-FUCKING-lutely,
or in-FUCKING-credible.
And, as almost every word in the sentence,
FUCK the FUCK-ing FUCK-ers.

As you must realize,
there aren’t too many words
with the versatility of FUCK.
As in these examples describing situations
such as fraud,
I got FUCK-ed at the used car lot.
Dismay, Aw FUCK it.
Trouble, I guess I’m really FUCK-ed now.
Agression, Don’t FUCK with me buddy.
Difficulty, I don’t understand this FUCK-ing question.
Inquiry, Who the FUCK was that?
Dissatisfaction, I don’t like what the FUCK is going on here.
Incompetence, He’s a FUCK-off.
Dismissal, Why don’t you go outside and play hide-and-go-FUCK yourself?

I’m sure you can think of many more examples.
With all these multi purpose applications,
how can anyone be offended when you use the word?
We say, use this unique, flexible word more often in your daily speech.
It will identify the quality of your character immediately.
Say it loudly, and proudly!
FUCK you!

Feminine God

“A religion old or new, that stressed the magnificence of the universe as revealed by modern science, might be able to draw forth reserves of reverence and awe hardly tapped by the conventional faiths. Sooner or later, such a religion will emerge.” – Carl Sagan, Pale Blue Dot (1994) – www.pantheism “Soul retrieval is a Shamanic skill used to heal a person from illness. Shamans believe that all illness comes from losing power or giving power away to something or someone. It may be spirits from the Inner World that you have traded your soul power with to get fame or fortune or love. It may be a living being who has an energetic cord attached to you and is sucking part of your soul away. It can be a generational soul loss that happened many years ago with your grandfather or great grandmother that you are not even aware of that has taken away part of your family soul. Soul loss can also be caused by a traumatic experience, a car accident, a sudden death in the family, a violent crime, a chronic illness. These things can cause a loss of vital power or energy and that power and energy, a part of one’s wholeness, must be restored to bring health and healing of body mind and spirit back to the patient.” – soul_retrievalThis is the DreamCatcher, found here Gitchie Golly!! as Gomer would say. Doesn’t that sound a lot like “do no allow someone to occupy rent free space in your mind”? Hmm! in fact one could almost say the shaman is doing a QD Fix. Or that the shaman is de-idiotizing the victim. Or the generational soul loss could be described as epigenetics. Or traumatic experience as PTSD. Or the soul as the center leaving a “hole in the soul”. The minds work the same way they always have and always will. This is the insight, the mystery, the wonder that has been dismissed by western civilization as metaphysical bullshit. This works. The words and the mysticism may be different due to wetware, but this works. Check QDFix, Oracle and EarthLady

How Odd! Not only am I the Maylene Muse but also the Shelby Shaman
Another bunch I ran into were the Tupi. Like most countries in latin america there is a spanish upper class and native lower class. From the Amazonian rain forest comes one of the most potent catalysts for expanded awareness yet discovered by human beings. In Ecuador and Peru this medicine is known as Ayahuasca, a Quechua Indian word meaning, ironically, “vine of the dead”. In Columbia and parts of Brazil, the Tupi Indian name Yage (pronounced Ya-hay) is used, and among Amazonia’s proliferating mestizo relious cults it is called Daime…

“Ayahuasca” as a hallucinogenic substance does not properly refer to one single plant, but to a singular mixture of two very different plan species…there is no such thing as an “ayahuasca plant,” or a “yage plant”, any more than there is a simple liquor simply called “Martini.” Ayahuasca correctly refers to a psychedelic combination of plants which varies in potency according to the skill of its maker.

While each shaman has his own secret formula for the mixture (with probably no two exactly alike), it has been established that true ayahuasca always contains both beta-carboline and tryptamine alkaloids, the former (harmine and harmaline) usually obtained from the Banisteriopsis caapi vine, and the latter (N, N-dimethyl-tryptamine, or DMT) from the leaves of the Psychotria viridis bush. (There may be variations among plant species, but the alkaloids are always consistent.

Lakota Medicine Wheel

Medicine Wheel Part 1 Part 2 Part 3

an ancient symbol that traces back 10,000 years in the Americas. Among the different tribes which have used it, the medicine wheel has served both as a map of the cosmos as well as a ceremonial and contemplative tool, a means of honoring and interacting with the world’s elemental forces and intelligences

Brain Soup Wheels Panerind Cherokee In/Ex Art

So what does it all mean? Well I think the feathered medicine wheel above looks like the steering wheel I had on my Studillac. Oh! you expected something more profound. I’ll have to call in the omniscient, all knowing, all seeing munificent professor emeritus maharishi el Loco Gringo. The Amerind worldview is the same as any other neuron trellis used to access the right mind directly. A method of obtaining a wider perspective on life. A method for understanding rather than just knowing, mans interactive relationship with the cosmos. Good shit. Fascinating.

This is probably the most difficult post I have ever attempted. You have no idea how hard it is to find an Amerind in the lotus position. But I felt impelled to get that foxy looking shaman online.

Mother God, Heavenly Mother, Sophia, Isis, Lakshmi, Tara, Azna, Gaia, Mother Earth, shakinah, mythos and  other names are all aspects of the Divine Feminine

We must not, however, forget the masculine god Om

“Without the all-knowing, all-perfect intellect of Father god (om), we would be pure emotion. Without Mother god (Azna), we would be pure intellect.”

“Om, therefore, represents both the unmanifest (nirguna) and manifest (saguna) aspects of God. That is why it is called pranava, to mean that it pervades life and runs through our prana or breath”

Hindi Worldview

Mother Azna Ask Azna Om & Azna

I continue to be struck by the non-inconsistencies of the various world views.  These are just various ways we project our dual mind’s interpretations onto the universe.  It’s all the same thing.  Just depends on which tunnel we look through.  If you are aware of the feminine god, by whatever name, you are centered, in the zone, connected.  Else, you’re an idiot

For I am the first and the last

I am the venerated and the despised

I am the prostitute and the saint

I am the wife and the virgin

I am the mother and the daughter

I am the arms of my mother

I am barren and my children are many

I am the married woman and the spinster

I am the woman who gives birth and she who never procreated

I am the consolation for the pain of birth

I am the wife and the husband

And it was my man who created me

I am the mother of my father

I am the sister of my husband

And he is my rejected son

Always respect me

For I am the shameful and the magnificent one.”

She of the throne

AKA Creation, Creatrix of the Nile Flood, Diadem of Life, Divine Mother, Female Principle in Nature, Fresh Tuft, Fructifier, Giver of Life, Goddess of Moisture, Green Goddess, Lady of Green Crops, Mistress of the Earth, She of Green Wings and Crescent Moon, Lotus-bearing   WikiIsis

One of the more popular gods of the Egyptian pantheon.  Her following spread throughout the greco-roman civilization until the clampdown on paganism.  That uncomfortable looking thing on top of her head is the symbol of the throne.  Check out this video Wings of Isis

She is still popular.  I found the shrine on the right on eBay.  It was bid up to $45.

The Egyptians had a slew of gods, makes one wonder when they had time to build the pyramids

Wonder Woman

Does anyone remember the Wonder Woman series popular in the ’70s with Linda  Carter as the star?  The series was based on Isis.  At well over 6′ she was perfect for the role. That’s all she did however, there wasn’t much demand for someone who dwarfed John Wayne.  Her golden lariat which would force someone to speak the truth is straight out of Isis.  And how about that invisible car.  (this is actually a crystal lexis, every time I tried to put a black background on Wonder Woman’s car it disappeared) There’s a lot of bling available for wonder woman.

Has anyone seen the King Tut exibit in LA.  Do not miss it or Linda will come get you

Bigger than the mountains am I,
The Empress of the gods am I
The Queen of heaven am I
The earth’s mistress am I

Babylonian/Assyrian Goddess of love, fertility and war.  Personally I think she’s the same as Isis. The theme of Ishtar is common in bellydancing.  Below is a clip.  bellydance comes in different genres.  The first is gothic, The second is “wings of Ishtar”, and the third is traditional.  Do not pass up this clip, these gals are awesome.

BDSuprstars BellyQueen BDGothic IshtarBellyDancers

I’ve been to the mid east and seen these things.  Mostly tawdry affairs, a bunch of hard legs feeling up the dancers.  The dancers were mostly widows, in islam, if a woman is “soiled” or has no man to take care of her, she must go into prostitution, dancing or starve.  But allah loves them.  In Cairo I went to a couple of hotel and saw a higher quality, mostly Italian and East European.   Still not up to what you see in the west.  The best come from Sao Paulo followed closely  by NY

“A question that sometimes drives me hazy: am I or are the others crazy?” – Big Al Big Al Quotes

WALTER is now ready to address Big Al’s question. Those who follow me will know what when WALTER speaks, walt and el Loco Gringo have reached consensus. The “best answer to date” of the right algorithm has been set on the left algorithm as a shortcut.

Previously I have spoken of idiots and non-idiots. Idiots are simple, they have the Brain Fart, a debilitating mental condition that prevents them from using their whole brain. Idiots are the norm.

Non-idiots is a more complicated topic, or maybe not. They can always be insane, of course. Let’s pull them out of consideration, to be dealt with later. I am uncomfortable with defining something by what it is not. Non-idiots is cumbersome. Centered is better but it has spiritual overtones which may not be necessarily appropriate. In like manner whole brain thinking has sectarian overtones which also may not be necessarily appropriate. Balanced puts the whole discussion inside the skull, also inappropriate. Yoga puts it outside. The same can be said of all the words used to describe this condition, each being only a partial answer, and viewed as a deviation from the norm. Tao is close.

So this is the way the minds are supposed to work, balancing input to achieve optimal execution. It is not the non-idiot who is an aberration, but the idiot. A non-idiot is able to access his essense whatever that may be, unique for each individual. If you deal with life in the spiritual realm, it is being able to access that little bit of God that is within us all. If you deal with life in the secular realm, it is being able to access that little bit of the universe that is within us all. They are, after all, the same thing. So Big Al is normal.

And to Big Al, the others are crazy, you are Normal

Inscrutable; difficult or impossible to
comprehend, fathom or interpret

Yet another misinterpreted study. This is only an example of how a flawed answer is derived from a “belief ” rather than a fact. The false belief is that FACS (Facial Action Coding System) applies to humans instead of only occidentals. Using FACS the study concluded that orientals looked at the eyes to determine facial expression. WRONG. The orientals were looking at the eyes because they could not recognize the culturally imposed expressions of the occidentals, so went to the eyes, which are more physiological. (Eye movements are the same) IE orientals think that occidentals are inscrutable.
They are just as expressive as occidentals, just different. Even when speaking English, they can be difficult to understand. Singlish uses a Hokkien sentence structure, in which some words are understood. For instance the words in the following exchange which are in () are understood but not spoken.
“(give me) S$5 (for this item)”
“Cannot (give you S$5), lah lah means roughly “back at you”
“Cannot, lah!” seems weird to an American, unless you understand that redundant words are omitted.
See Coxford Singlish Dictionary below.

I ran across the results of a study that concluded that brassieres cause cancer. That seemed odd, so I continued reading. They observed that orientals had a much lower breast cancer rate than blacks or occidentals. They had concluded that the reason was that orientals could not afford brassieres. The conclusion was that brassieres prevented the breasts from swinging impeding the ebb and flow of “natural juces”. What a crock of shit.

Orientals, unlike Africans and occidentals are flat chested unless actually nursing. IE they ain’t got no titties to get cancer in. Big boobs, are in fact an affectation, they serve no useful purpose unless in use, except for attracting men. As an aside, This is quite a problem in Singapore, where the population is westernized and there is a huge number of breast augmentation procedures, else they all wear falsies. This causes a lot of anxiety. More here

Chinese porn is weird in that they don’t actually show anything. The picture on the left is considered highly erotic. And Japanese get off on Anime porn. Weird. That’s not actually the porn, I’m not going to put that crap up here. If you’re interested do a search on hentai.

Another weirdness is that orientals have a different color spectrum. (the colors in a rainbow are different) and an occidentals spectrum is blue deficient. (the whitening agent in soap powder is actually blue dye) What an occidental sees as white, an oriental sees as blue. Orientals see only 3 colors in a rainbow, occidentals see six. I haven’t found anything on this.

Need to make sure our “facts” are not beliefs. Be sure to check out that second link (psurg). The left (before) is normal for an oriental. The right (after) is African style boobie implants. Yup, they even have different types. (both the occidental/african and implants) check the links if you’re curious.

Do what you will, but harm no one

Another “Mother Earth” type of belief.  I guess you could call it neo-aboriginal European.  Wicca (pronounced [ˈwɪkə]) is a neopagan, nature-basedreligion.[1] It was popularised in 1954 by Gerald Gardner, a retiredBritish civil servant, who at the time called it a “Witch cult” and “Witchcraft”, and its adherents “the Wica”.[2] “Wicca is the largest of the Neopagan religions. Wiccans have great reverence for the Earth and for their Goddess and her consort, the horned God. Their main rule of behavior is the Wiccan Rede which forbids them from harming people, including themselves, except in some cases of self-defense.“- Wikepedia
“Contrary to what those who choose to persecute or lie about us wish to believe, Wicca is a very peaceful, harmonious and balanced way of thinking and life which promotes oneness with the divine and all which exists. Wicca is a deep appreciation and awe in watching the sunrise or sunset, the forest in the light of a glowing moon, a meadow enchanted by the first light of day.   It is the morning dew on the petals of a beautiful flower, the gentle caress of a warm summer breeze upon your skin, or the warmth of the summer sun on your face.   Wicca is the fall of colorful autumn leaves, and the softness of winter snow.   It is light, and shadow and all that lies in between.  It is the song of the birds and other creatures of the wild.   It is being in the presence of Mother Earths nature and being humbled in reverence.

When we are in the temple of the Lord and Lady, we are not prone to the arrogance of human technology as they touch our souls.   To be a Witch is to be a healer, a teacher, a seeker, a giver, and a protector of all things.   If this path is yours, may you walk it with honor, light and integrity.”- Herne

What Wicca is not

God is dead

god is dead

But not GOD

Religion killed Her

Centering then is the awareness of god, not the bullshit de-feminized god of christianity but the awareness that we are an integral part of the universe.  Whether you call her the big hoochie koochie,  Cosmic standing wave, spacial forcing, divine cosmic awareness, gaia, mother earth, azna doesn’t matter.  Centering is our connectedness with the universe.  Christianity has robbed us of the ability to experience god for ourselves

god has been murdered   Christianity killed her.

Why is the nude taboo? Return to Feminine God

When Thinking of clothes the first thought that comes to mind is protection against the weather. Well, OK, maybe.

Or maybe it’s because the guys won’t get a lot of work done with naked women running around. That’s better. But maybe it’s to keep the males from seeing the primacy of femaleness.

Don’t really know where I’m going with this. I’ve seen a lot of things that don’t seem to add up. For instance; In Singapore my secretary (Thai) kept doing these aerobic exercises when she wasn’t otherwise busy. When I asked, she responded she couldn’t afford a breast implant “But why? You’re Thai, You’re supposed to be flat cheasted.” (orientals are flat chested unless nursing) But she didn’t want to look like a yokel fresh out of the rice paddies. She was in a western society and the desire to get her bumps pumped had more to do with wanting to appear “civilized” rather than vanity. S’poreBumpPumpers

It’s a big business there. They also sell a lot of silicone brasseries which they call “over the shoulder bolder holsters“. S’pore is also the capital of sex change operations. A male transformed into a female is called a shemale. Believe it or not, these are all men.

There was even a local movie made “Bugis Street”. Prostitutes are called “china girls” and belong to a union PUSSI, Prostitutes United for Sexual Services Inc. This place will definitely scramble your ideas on sex.

In rural areas of Indonesia women typically walk around topless. In fact they are distinctly uncomfortable when required to wear a top. In african muslim areas they will go topless and wear a veil. Even among women the awrah (area between the navel and the knees) must be covered. Weird shit man.

The Essence of me

“What is this thing that el Loco Gringo so fiercely defends? It is a tiny vortex that has formed in the temporal river. It exists for the briefest of moments, then is reabsorbed. It strives to balance the forces of the ripples within and the ripples without, maintaining an ethereal form that allows connectedness with the universe and the individual me. It defends me from those who seek to remove this individuation and connectedness. Sometimes doldrums, sometimes rapids. Under the tree limbs and around the rocks. The river has no purpose. It just flows from high ground to low, with no whence or whither, only anon. it obeys the law of the universe, negentropy, time’s arrow. And in the end, this vortex loses form. “The moving finger writes, and having writ, moves on” – Omar Khayyam. Throughout it all, el Loco Gringo never lost the wonder. It is the essence of me. In the end, there is only the river. All is as it should be.” – walt

“This is my mind, and mine alone. I like it just as it is. It has guided and protected me through a turbulent life. It has shown me the beauty and the ugliness of the world in all it’s glory and depravity. I have marveled at the richness of the world and the people in it. It has given me a most rewarding journey. It is a fine mind indeed. And I am proud of it, so very proud. It has served me well.” – el Loco Gringo

I have been blessed/cursed with the gift/burden of the “We inside of me” – WALTER
