In fact what is accepted as truth in top down thinking is only Level 1 as determined by bottom up thinking. It is NEVER complete, and could be entirely wrong if hijacked by religion, education or other societal programming. If this societal programming occurs during the critical period of growth (birth-age 7 or puberty) it can become imprinting, a PERMANENT inability of the mind to accept new concepts. A person can know, but not understand a concept that does not fit into this framework. They become idiots (not used as a pejorative but as a clinical term, I am, after all, striving to be professional) The implications of this imprinting are profound. Bottom up thinking is regarded as psychotic by mental health and meta-physical bullshit by the general population. Occidental’s dominate thought mode is top down (left mind) Orientals dominate thought mode is bottom up (right mind) time to the right mind appears to be situational. Orientals have the same problem (mirrored) that we have in the west. IE whereas we have difficulty with connectness (bottom up), they have problems with analysis. (top down). In general this seems to be a determining factor in civilization, ie one or the other minds must be shut down to turn the populace into robots. This difference is illustrated by the response to communists in Singapore. While circular time is certainly closer to reality than linear time. It is not reality. Reality, and reality only, is reality.

Centering involves more than emotional balance, it requires a harmony between mind, body, soul, environment and emotion. All elements must be addressed simultaneously. Toxicity must be removed. If you are overweight, lose it. Skip the scales, use the panty drop test, if your panties hit the floor, you’re heading in the right direction. Skip the diets, it’s not nice to fool mother nature. If it tastes good don’t eat it. Go hungry, your stomach will shrink to reflect the new reality. Check with the doctor to ensure proper nutrition. You’ll get your payback when you have to buy new panties.

Recognize sloth for what it is, take walks in the park and enjoy the beauty of nature. Recognize insecurity for what it is. Surround yourself with people who make you feel good. Recognize medication for what it is, usually a way to resolve symptoms that allow you to continue an unhealthy lifestyle in an unhealthy environment. Check with your doctor for non-medical solutions. Else, accept it. Recognize shame for what it is, we have been brainwashed into thinking pride is a sin.

The universe is incomplete without you. And above all, do not allow someone else to occupy rent free space in your mind. Do not allow anyone to hijack your goal of becoming who you are supposed to be, they are trying to pollute your mind.

Learn to bypass the canned answers you got in school and seek your own truth.

Love hard, laugh hearty and sleep well. Pursue a purpose greater than yourself. Be more than you can be. Accept yourself as you are.

Keep in mind that the mind is a system within a system. Picture rubber bands attached to all of the elements of this system. If you move one element and release the pressure, it will snap back. Is this in fact the dawning of the age of aquarius?

The 100th monkey phenomenon is supposed to kick in when 1/3 of the population achieves awareness.  There definitely is something to this. The same phenomenon was observed in the Mogabi zoo, where chimps were observed washing cats prior to stuffing them down the garbage disposal, saving on plumbing bills. (Note picture above) The practice has since spread to all zoos. From what I have seen so far,  from the end of the ice age, our connectedness has been systematically destroyed leaving us as mindless robots, swarming in this ant warren of a society we live in.

But with the we inside of me, I can see man in all his glory and depravity.  The gift has a dark side. Hope and foreboding coexist. Kumbaya Or maybe the age of aquarius will be a self fulfilling prophecy.  Or….. maybe I’m full of shit, I am crazy, don’t you know?   The problem, in my minds, is that neither of these views can be elevated to “best answer to date”.  Dunno. Troubling.

The Age of Aquarius

About 15 years ago I began taking atenolol for a heart condition. One of the known side effects of this drug is lucid dreaming. That’s not really what’s happening. The drug allows us to remember the lucid dreams that were always there. (follow the link) I have posted the first 50 or so of these dreams in a seperate blog AtenololDreams if you’re curious.

One of the main characters in these dreams is Ann (ANN?), the only character (besides myself) who is aware that it is a dream. We speak of many things, Ann and I. In one dream I recall a conversation about the “self’”. I said “I think, therefore I am” she replied “No, I think, therefore you are”

Hmm! So where am I going with this? I am of the opinion that the brain is entirely too simple a mechanism for thought to originate in it, and that it is an organ which was created/evolved/unfolded that concentrates the consciousness that was always there.

We only think we’re thinking.

There are two seperate but synchronous things happening in the cash register which reflect reality. The only difference between the cash register and the brain is the brain has 100 billion leaves and 100 billion keys. We think that we are in charge of the cash register, we are not (unless we’re thieves) we think we are thinking when we ring up the sale. we are not. we are only reacting to the guy handing us cash.

No matter how we arrange the keys, nor what symbols we put on them. It ain’t real. Reality, and only reality is real.
