She’s been called the Lady of Lotus by Buddhists, as well as Ashara, Theodora, Sophie and Isis in faiths and cultures throughout the world for centuries upon centuries. Without the all-knowing, all-perfect intellect of Father God (om), we would be pure emotion. Without Azna, we would be pure intellect.

I have heard the Aboriginal worldview described as Circular. Circular reasoning is an attempt to support a statement by simply repeating the statement in different or stronger terms. In this fallacy, the reason given is nothing more than a restatement of the conclusion that poses as the reason for the conclusion.I don’t see it that way, I see it as “wheels within wheels” and not even “what goes around comes around” but “what goes around comes around goes around etc”. For instance the Mayan 260 day calendar would seem to make no sense unless one considers that the gestation period is 260 days. Thus if a woman conceived on Tzolkin 10 she could expect the birth on Tzolkin 10, As this was synchronized with the Haab (365 day calendar) no calculation was needed

In keeping with Mr. Ted’s suggestion of using “whorls within whorls” rather than “wheels within wheels” I went looking again for cymatics. Even closer to reality however is “waves within waves”

Buddha Mind

InSingapore I was told I had the “Buddha mind”. Asked around, came up with a definition of “naive wisdom”. Well, OK, I guess. Coupla days ago a Hindu told me that same thing, manager of a convenience store, what else. He’s a pretty fart smeller, at least in my opinion, so I decided to check it out further. Turns out that “buddha mind” AKA “big mind” is what I call normal. I’d just be redundant to go on about it, so I’ll just refer a couple of links if you’re curious. Those of you who have been following me know that I am exploring the tie between loss of the ability to connect with the right mind and the anomie of man and “hole in the soul of the individual. The emptiness inside leaving an aching need that is quickly filled by various ideologies which rob us of our sense of oneness with the universe. In western civilization this theft was first perpetrated by religion and then by education, sometimes backing up the religion. In the case of religion it is to ensure that the peasants be forced to go through the church so as to enrich the church. In the case of education it is to ensure a compliant work force so as to enrich the capitalists. The church enforced harmony by burning heretics at the stake, or in the case of heathens, shoving said stake up the heart of their bottom. Essentially, experiencing God for yourself (in a manner that didn’t enrich the church) was punishable by death. The role of asshole/idiot (used in the clinical sense) appears to be inherent in western civilization. This inability to access the right mind directly is responsible for the disfunction in society, on both an individual and collective level. And psyche, bless her heart, was another path to enlightenment. A neuron trellis. Does anyone (besides idiots) think this society is sane?

Ironically psyche is the root word for psychology, which seems to be dedicated to destroying the psyche, shooting the heretic up with smarticide. (at least they don’t shove a pole up your butt, that’s progress of a sort I suppose.) Psychology is the Inquisition of western civilization. My, aren’t these charming fellows?

Does god exist? Dunno. Kinda depends on how you define god. If she does, I’m pretty sure she’s not Jewish, Catholic or Presbyterian. Or Allah or Buddha or any of the other hypostatized beliefs which have been used to control the masses. Personally. I don’t think she’s that big of an asshole. She is our Self Worth, Pride is what religion calls self worth, one of the seven deadly sins. However, if there is a god, I understand she is not bound by my beliefs. I consider god and religion to be mutually exclusive concepts. I find the people who discount god just as idiotic as those who believe in religion. If the brain fart could be overcome, it may be possible to determine reality. Wouldn’t that be cool? I kinda favor Gaia, although my opinion carries about as much weight as a fart in a hurricane.

So god is inside our skulls. GOD is outside. Or vectors are inside, the universe is outside. Or Wonder is inside, wander is outside. Or science is inside, the cosmos is outside. These are only words. There is something “out there” that we don’t understand. You can call it GOD if you will and our perception of GOD as god.

Religion is a totally different thing. It is an ideology. It is dogma. It is an hipostatized belief imprinted on our minds by monotheistic churches so as to control the masses. Judaism, christianity, science, atheism and islam fall into this category. WHAT? atheism and science are religions? But of course. They are hipostatized belief systems. A central tenet of both is non-belief. Their minds have been imprinted in non-belief in belief. They hold the delusional belief that they understand what is “out there”, or more precisely, what is “not out there”. In fact, there may be a cosmic intelligence “out there” which we are part of and which some people may call GOD. Or…….maybe not! Dunno. Do not confuse cause and effect. Religion and god are mutually exclusive concepts. God is possible, religion is bullshit.

On the other hand Bhuddism, Tao, yoga, jainism, animism, kaballah etc. are totally different things. They are not religions, per se, but paths to enlightenment. They are frameworks used to understand what is “out there”. Like a neuron trellis they focus our thoughts. Like a neuron trellis they provide a path. “It helps to have a god to meditate on, it doesn’t matter which one” – Patel Consider the shaman, once you get past the mysticism, it makes perfect sense, certainly more than psychology (also an ideology).

So a scientist and an atheist are just different types of idiot. It must be so simple to be an idiot, just sprinkle pixie dust on a concept, call it bullshit, and you don’t have to think. Just a slam dunk. A thought stopping mechanism.

When religion replaced god we lost that direct experience. Thomas Aquinas pointed this out when he observed “there is no virtue in performing a good deed if there is no choice”

So, where is god? She is within all of us. She has been suppressed by religion. She has been made taboo by the belief systems which were developed by religion as a method to control the masses. This has left the individual with an insatiable need. We have lost our balance.

This is the “hole in our soul”, the anomie of man.

To understand Islam it will be necessary to get into indexed nested detours. Look at it as an exercise in working the nimbility of your dendrites. I guarantee they will be quivering in fear by the time this is over.

To save my typing I’m going to introduce a symbol for detour. BUT, here be dragons. Islamic thinking requires holding several mutually exclusive concepts comfortably in your mind at once, which is dangerous for a crazy person like me, but could easily drive an idiot into insanity. So heed the warning. This could be dangerous to your mental health. Turn your mental TomTom on, make sure you’ve got home enabled or you may not get back. Bedouin hate arabs (I like them already) . Most of them aren’t muslim. The men tattoo their faces and wear veils and the women don’t unless around arabs. I would run into them later in Chad. It got really bad, one of them was smoking in an ammo bunker and blew it up and the CO decided to do something. He hired a band of bedouin for security and they pitched camp on base. Turns out the arabs were afraid to come on base and the bedouin were going off base, killing them and bringing them back across the fence. It’s a matriachial society. These are the people they’re killing in Darfour.

Please bear with me, I’m trying to weave together the bedouin, parsi, urdu, arab, worldviews overlaid by islam into some sort of framework that the western world view can visualize. Understand that ALL societies work like this. The fuckers and the fuckees, or as el Loco Gringo would say, the assholes and the idiots. This is EXACTLY what is happening in the western hemisphere. Just different fuckers and fuckees. In the mideast the arabs are the fuckers and the bedouin, parsi, urdu and arab are the fuckees. Back to the topic at hand. Women. So I’ talking to Achmed, a member of the fucker class with an Islamic imprinting. Achmed needed policical pull to get the job, although that’s an abstract concept to an arab (It certainly was to Achmed). The arab society is a patriachal society in contrast to western society which is a matriachal society. (that’s too big a detour to go into herefor the moment just accept it as rhetorical) What this boils down to is that women are fuckees, In the arab view, the fucker has the inherent right to fuck the fuckee in any sense of the word you may use.

So how does arab (not islamic, arab) society deal with the natural overwhelming urge to “go forth and multiply” inherent in our makeup?

In the west the matriarchial society has chosen marriage as the mechanism to assure an illusion of an equitable distrubution of poontang and bannanas.

In the arab world the patriarchal society has chosen virtual poontang. On death Allah will give all the faithful 9 virgins, who somehow remain perpetually virgin. I notice that there is virtual virgin inflation, the number has gone from 9 to 10,000 to entice young males to “die for allah”. Even thinking about pussy will earn you eternal damnation. No wonder they’re so pissed.

This is not Islam, but the arab culture overlaid on Islam. Islam started out being progressive and egalitarian but has been hijacked by the arab worldview, in the same sense that western civilization has been hijacked by religion. Kwan Yin

The Big Karuna

Karuna is incompletely translated as compassion. Compassion has overtones of pity, whereas karuna has overtones of oneness, connectedness. A deep love for all beings. kwan yin is one who “hears the cries of the world” More akin to the Greek agape.

They are born mortal humans, members of the lower castes, but are then elevated to the realms of the living deities; forced to live in isolation from early childhood, without friends and deprived of an education, on their first menstruation or sign of illness they return human once more, have to drastically adapt themselves to the difficulties of everyday life. They are the Kumari, Hinduism’s living deities, who are now beginning to rebel against the “inhuman superstitions” who in Nepal, are forced to live a lonely single life, deprived of affection in the belief that anyone who marries them will die within a few months.

Glorification of the divine feminine. Latter-day Saints infer from authoritative sources of scripture and modern prophecy that there is a Heavenly Mother as well as a Heavenly Father. (This supprised even me.) So what does this all mean? If we look at the world through the spirituality tunnel, we perceive the universe. If we were physicists we may call it the space time continuum. If we are oriental, we may call it Tao. If we are religious we may call it GOD (caps, the real GOD). If we are Hindu we see no distinction. But this is just a word, and the word is not the concept. This perception is evaluated by the right mind in a parallel/boolean network as god. (small caps) this perception is interpreted by the left mind as religion. If the child has been imprinted (instilling values) The algorithm of the left mind is imprinted on the right mind resulting in an ideology, usually permanent, The RBF. The right mind has been hijacked.

If we are oriental we may use the tao mobile. So the words we use to describe TAO is entirely dependent on worldview and whether our mind has been hijacked. (you may call it the space/time continuum, nirvana, god, doesn’t matter, these are all words used to describe our perception of tao.

Bastet

 

Bast is first and foremost a protectress; specifically of the royal house and the Two Lands. Later she got the life-preserving goddess of joy and protector of women. However, Bast’s original role did not include the “cat as sex symbol” archetype. Worshiped in the Delta city of Bubastis and usually depicted as a cat or in human form with the head of a cat, Bast was seen as a protector of cats and those who cared for them. “Cat as sex symbol” doesn’t do a lot for me. I do however have a keen interest in Bastet, the feline aspect of this particular divinity.

Cats were domesticated soon after the agricultural period started. (although from my perspective cats domesticated us). They were really valued by the ancient egyptians. Killing one was a death penalty. There were actually two types of cat. The swamp cat (bastet) and the domestic cat (miu) (pronounced meow). Meow is “people talk” for a cat, by the way. They don’t say meow to each other, they are communicating to people. Hmm! Bastet was viewed as the “eyes of Horus” the egyptian god of flatulence. Cats were revered in Egypt, when the household cat died the members of the family shaved their eyebrows. They were even mumified where people would pay the priests of the temple to mumify a cat. Analysis of these mummies showed that they were “helped in their journey”. So a cat had a pretty good life in Egypt as long as they stayed away from the temples.

This is my interest in the matter. I had one of these things. They’re somewhat bigger than a domestic cat. Their tail is also thick and bony. When agitated, he would flip his tail back and forth and if it hit your shin, it hurt. Most distinct was his head, his nose went from the top of his skull straight to his nose, his head was thin which meant he had to look directly at you giving the appearance of staring. I can see why they were called the “eyes of Horus”. Rather disconcerting. He knew how to open the bathroom door, and when we had guests he would go in and watch. The ladies were quite disturbed. Actually he didn’t care about them peeing, he knew that when they got off the porcelain spring it would have cold water. While I’m talking about critters, has anybody ever seen a tiger? I don’t mean those wimpy little things you see in the zoo. I mean a TIGER. Living in Singapore you tend to forget that right across jahore bahru is tropical jungle. My wife and I would go into Malaya for the beach. On one of these outings I saw a tiger strolling down the beach, and decided to take a swim. My original plan was to swim to the Philipines, but then I remembered that these waters were notorious for sharks. So, as I wait waist deep, I make a mental note to myself “in the future, if there is one, try to maintain better situational awareness”. For some reason, these things seem bigger when there are no bars between you.

Yet another critter I ran into in Singapore. This is the Singapura, found nowhere else. Called the Singapore love cat because of their affectionate nature. Smaller than a domestic cat they are quite rare outside of Singapore where they are considered a national treasure. Affectionate little beggers. Singapura

 

Blue Russian

Ah here’s a jewel. One spring in NC I was airing out the house, and saw a flash of movement going under my bed. Figuring it was one of my cats I ignored it for awhile. When it didn’t come out I got down on the floor to coax it out. It was a really scrawny cat, weighing less than 3 pounds and filthy. After vacuuming it I found it to be a beautiful cat. Have you ever seen a blue animal? I hadn’t. The picture doesn’t do it justice, it had an irridescent sheen when the light flectorized off it. So I did some research. It looks like a Russian Blue, a favorite of Tzar Nicholas who was the only one allowed to have them. When the Romanov family was executed the cats were killed with them. Bye, Bye rusian blue. BUT! It later turned out that Tzar Nicholas had given 12 of them to the King of Sweden at the time. They’re really quite rare. He had been declawed, and I really didn’t have any use for a cat that couldn’t back off a doberman, so I contacted the blue russian society. They were quite skeptical, they knew where all the blue russians were, don’t you know? I sent them some pictures and they sent someone out to check him out. He was sitting on the hood of my car when she arrived and she ignored me and said “Holy shit, it really is a blue russian”. She scooped it up and I could see I’d have to fight her to get it back. There’s no mistaking it if you’ve ever seen one. They had no idea where it came from. Not bad for something you find under the bed.

Here’s another odd one. At dusk one day toodling down a country road in NC I saw this animal on the side of the road in much the same posture as the picture. It looked like a dingo, which I had seen in Australia (huge ears, right size). “What in the hell is a dingo doing in NC?” A few days later I had taken one of my cats to the vet and saw a poster offering a $1000 reward for a serval cat. Damn it looked like what I saw. I called her up to tell her about it and a few days these same posters began appearing around the neighborhood. A few days later she called me back to say she got her cat. Someone had seen the poster came home from work and saw it waiting with his cat in the driveway. He opened the garage door, they both went in, and he closed it and called her up. She told me she paid $5000 for it and it could run 50 MPH. it’s like a mini cheetah. Which left me to wonder “why would anyone pay $5000 for a cat, specially one that could run 5o MPH?”

Does anyone remember the Wonder Woman series popular in the ’70s with Linda  Carter as the star?  The series was based on Isis.  At well over 6′ she was perfect for the role. As I have mentioned, I spent time in Singapore and flew all over the east repairing computer systems. One of these systems was in Serangoon Road, the heart of the Hindu community. There was a temple, Chitier (pronounced shitier) which had all kinds of fun activities. These people are not really known for their conservative architecture. Click on these pictures to enlarge.

One of the social activities they really got into was firewalking. They would stoke up a coal fire in a pit to the point I couldn’t get within 15 feet of it, then leisurely stroll across. Another fun activity was the thaipusam festival. It should be noted that some of the traditional hindu practices are banned in most countries. Stuff like killing infant female children, or burning the wife along with the husband at funerals. Things like body piercing, Kavadis, and self mutilation are, however, still permitted in Singapore and Kuala Lumpar. Vanquished I love the expression on that gal’s face “Oops! Some of the temples I saw in india were completely decorated in porn. Jainism I think. Then there’s the Kama Sutra kind of a vedic “Joy of sex”. I walked around one temple in India and came up with more than 100 positions before I gave up. Some of them looked like they’d hurt. While speaking of architecture the Taj Mahal comes to mind, built by shah Jahan for his main squeeze. He must have really had the hots for her. That’s one I didn’t get to see.
